CEP hopes to empower Chinese American Church pastors who want to learn about the process of leading change, mobilizing their churches to engage challenges, adapt, thrive and impact their communities for Christ….. even if their churches are not ready to participate as a whole. There are two ways for an interested pastor to participate:
Option 1 Doctor of Ministry Elective Course
By registering for CESNA’s Church Engaging Contemporary Challenges DMin Elective course
(4 units) as a Doctor of Ministry student or Pre-study student, you can participate in the 1 Pastor
Focus Retreat in March, 2 Contemporary Challenges Conference in person in May, 3 Leadership
Empowerment Retreat online in July and 4 a three hour gathering in Sept with Faculty Rev. Dr. Albert Lam
online. You will need to complete 2500 pages of required reading and write a reflection paper
after each gathering, culminating in a proposal for your church to engage in a context
relevant contemporary challenge (one of the 4 CEP identified challenges), which you will
share at the last gathering with Rev. Dr. Albert Lam. Registration is open in Nov prior to the
year you are participating in CEP.
